We are very pleased to announce that our 2011 Prostate Cancer Tour of Hope has been our most successful campaign to date!

The combined efforts of multiple events run by many volunteers across Canada have raised just over $25,000.00 for Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness!

Our thanks to each and every person who was in attendance or supported one of our many events this past year. We cannot do what we do without your help.

The 2011 Tour of Hope started out with our flagship event the 6th Annual Ontario Sled Ride of Hope in Parry Sound, Ontario, on Feb 19th, where we raised $16,275

Thank you to all our sponsors, participants and especially Team Kahshe Lake and Team Couchiching

Our next event was the first annual Saskatchewan Sled Ride of Hope in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on Feb 26th, raising $2,561

Thank you to our National Sponsors for helping us get our first ever out-of-Province event off the ground!

The next event we hosted was the 5th Annual Ontario ATV Ride of Hope in Parry Sound on Ontario June 4th, raising $1,000

Thank you to Park to Park Trail and BRP Canada for helping us resurrect this ATV event

Our final event of the year was our first Annual Manitoba ATV Ride of Hope in Ross, Manitoba on Oct 8th, where we raised another $6,320

Special thanks to the Eastman ATV Trail Association for hosting and promoting this event.

While 2011 saw us expanding our Tour of Hope events into two new Provinces, our expansion certainly did not end with additional venues.
Steve Hutton, our Founder and current President was appointed to the Steering Committee of Prostate Cancer Canada Network-Brampton (PCCN – Brampton).
This appointment not only gives PET access to material and resources regarding Prostate Cancer but more importantly, it puts us in contact with Prostate Cancer Survivors and their families.

It also opened the door for the Prostate Extreme Team (PET) to form a Prostate Cancer Awareness alliance with a third NON-Profit group, Cruisin' for a Cure Canada. Working together, these three groups have reduced their overall expenditures while gaining access to more promotional avenues, all the while helping to spread Prostate Cancer Awareness across our great Country!
PET looks forward to working even more closely with this alliance in the years to come. Together we truly can help to beat this disease!

The most significant activity undertaken with the alliance in 2011 was the sponsorship of the Senior Moments Quick32 Top Dragster, owned by Prostate Cancer Survivor Phil Nedham.
This sponsorship was made possible by Prostate Cancer Canada and PCCN-Brampton.
Starting at Performance World in Toronto in March and carrying on through the racing and car show seasons, we distributed Prostate Cancer Awareness material to thousands of car show attendees and drag race fans. We were able to speak directly to our target audience of men aged 30-80 about Prostate Cancer and the importance of early detection and screening!

Another great example of our alliance was this year’s 5th Annual Cruisin' For a Cure Canada Car Show held in Brampton, Ontario on September 11.
The show attracted over 300 vehicles and we provided confidential PSA blood tests to nearly 300 men for FREE!

The Prostate Extreme Team and our new partners, PCCN Brampton.com and Cruisin’ for a Cure Canada.com, are looking forward to an even bigger Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign in 2012.

Look for us at an event near you in 2012 and remember, "Early Detection Can Save Your Life!"
